Alright ladies, let’s talk about our skin! Establishing a good skincare routine is SO important and it’s never too early to start taking proper care of your skin, but it’s not always easy. In order to establish a great skincare routine, you have to find the right products that work best for YOUR skin type, which usually involves a lot of trial and error. I’m happy to say that after years or trying out different products I have finally found a skin care regimen that works for me. In case you’re wondering, I have sensitive/combination skin so basically, parts of my face will be oily while other areas will be super dry, and on top of that just about everything makes me break out.
Now that you know what kind of skin I’m working with, I’m going to share a few products that have worked for me and that I definitely recommend trying for yourself if you are struggling with finding a good set of skincare products. Don’t forget to check out the links to see where you can purchase these items for yourself (they’re all available on Amazon Prime, yay!).
Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes: With all the different brands of make-up removing wipes out there, it’s hard to imagine how different a little piece of cloth can actually be. BUT let me tell you, these things are amazing. I’ve tried so many wipes that honestly just hurt my face (sensitive skin probs) but these are so soft and they leave absolutely no oily residue behind.
Electric Vibrating Sonic Facial and Body Cleansing Brush: This was actually given to me as a gift, considering that I had a Clarisonic a few years back that I returned after a few weeks, I was so surprised with how much I ended up loving this brush and it’s a third, if not more, of the price!
E-raorganics Natural Moisturizing Face Wash: Ah, my search for the perfect cleanser has been one of the more challenging ones. With my skin being so sensitive, I decided to go for something more along the “natural” route. I feel like I do a pretty good job of removing my makeup before I get in the shower but this cleanser paired with my cleansing brush is sure to get anything that I missed.
First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream: I truly believe that this moisturizer has done amazing things for my face. Like I mentioned before, I tend to have issues with dry, flakey patches around my eyes and lips, especially during the cooler months but no lie, ever since I started using this stuff, I have not gotten one “dry patch.” You’d probably expect it to feel pretty heavy on the skin with how moisturizing it is, but it’s actually very thin and I little goes a long way. I usually get the 6 oz tub which lasts me for a few months so it’s definitely worth the $30!
